How it works

2. Power the Smart Vent

Connect the booster vent using the included power adapter.

3. Scan & Select Your Device

Open the Smart Vent app and scan for nearby Smart Vent devices over Bluetooth.

Select your device from the list. You can also rename the device by tapping on the device name inside the app.

4. Open the Vent Control Screen

Tap on the connected Smart Vent device to open the live vent control dashboard.

5. Choose Auto or Manual Mode

Switch between:

• Auto Mode — Booster Vent automatically start airflow based on AC or furnace status.
• Manual Mode — Manually turn the booster fan ON or OFF directly from the app.

Smart Vent connects to the booster fan over Bluetooth and sends control commands like speed or power state.

The fan responds in real time, letting the app adjust airflow instantly.

Important Notes

• Make sure your vent opening (cut‑out size) is 4 inches x 10 inches for proper installation and airflow.
• The Smart Vent remembers your last selected mode. If you set the vent to Manual Mode → Fan OFF, it will stay off and will not start automatically. To ensure proper operation, keep the fan turned ON when using Manual Mode.
• When your heater or AC turns on, the Smart Vent will detect the airflow within a few minutes. The fan will automatically start at a selected speed. If you see fan is doing on and off no need to worry it is just detecting the temperature. When the heater or AC turns off, the vent will detect this and shut the fan off automatically.
